Piano tuning, regulation, and repair
I graduated from the Piano Technician Academy and am excited to get to service pianos in my hometown of Urbana, OH and surrounding areas. The services I offer include tuning, repairs, regulation, and voicing. I do in-home tunings and offer discounts to organizations such as schools and churches who may need my services on a regular or semi-regular basis.
NOTICE:I will travel up to an hour to a service a piano (as far south as the Dayton area, as far north as Marion, as Far East as the Columbus area, and as far west as versailles). I typically will charge more for longer distance servicing but am willing to waive travel fees if I happen to be in the area anyway.

Pricing varies based on the condition of the piano I am servicing (i.e. how out-of-tune it is or if it’s in a rough condition) which will be determined upon the inspection and discussed with the customer before beginning, here is what my prices start at:
-inspection: FREE
-full tuning: $125
-full regulation: $100
-voicing: $100
-repairs: $50 + cost of part
Explanation of services-
Tuning: Adjusting the pitch of the notes so that not only every key sounds equally as good, but that individual notes are smooth and sound good no matter where they are played on the piano
Regulation: A service characterized by multiple small improvements made to both the piano action (the mechanism that transfers the key press to the piano string) and the keys for maximum effectiveness, efficiency and so that playing feels consistent across the instrument
voicing: shaping the piano hammers to help improve the tonal qualities of the instrument
repairs: fixing a defect(s) within a piano that prevents it from functioning properly

About my music
My compositional style includes the use of a wide variety of musical “colors” (hence the “prism” in “Prismusic”) that range from classical to experimental, acoustic to electronic, silly to serious, energetic to relaxing, small ensemble to full orchestra, and everything in between. In general, most of what I compose is cinematic in nature and takes heavy influence from film and video game scores. In this section, I am showcasing some music I’ve composed.
